The new MotoGP season begins this weekend, with familiar rivalries revamped and a number of exciting new riders joining the grid.
Spanish star Marc Marquez clinched last season’s riders’ championship at the Japanese Grand Prix with five races to go, but the Ducati star’s recovery from a shoulder injury that ended his season early last season may be a factor in the opening races of the new season.
The biggest story of the new season may be the sibling rivalry between Marquez and his younger brother. Alex Marquez will look to build on his runner-up results last season with Gresini Racing, while there are high hopes for three-time WorldSBK champion Toprak Razgatlioglu of Turkey, as he joins Pramac Yamaha alongside Australian star Jack Miller.
The new season sees some significant changes to the calendar, with Brazil’s long-awaited return to the schedule, replacing Argentina in round two, while the stop at Silverstone in the UK has been moved from May to its traditional August date.

Fox Sports is scheduled to show every Grand Prix and every Sprint Cup this season. Coverage will span across Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2, with each race available to watch on the Fox Sports app.

Watch the 2026 MotoGP season in the UK
UK motorsport fans can watch the MotoGP season on TNT Sports, which has the live broadcast rights in the UK.
