By less than a month to Special elections from November 4Billboards, post office and ads in support and confrontation of a proposal 50 reach a fever. But in the 22nd Congress County in California – one of the handful of areas that would be the most affected If Rep. 50 had to pass – Some residents remain unknown with the measureS

As Maya K. Miller of CalMatters, the 22nd area in the San Joaquin Valley, is currently covering parts of Kings, Tulare and Kern. Under prop. 50 It will include the northwest corner of Freshno and the smaller cities like Kerman.

Democrats view the 22nd as one of the five possible areas they have to take during the average time in 2026 – banishing the current US representative David Vallado, who presented the region in the congress for 10 of the last 12 years. His challenge, a member of the Assembly Jasmeet Baines of Bakerfield, is one of the more moderate Democrats in the State Legislative AuthorityAnd it was the only Democrat to vote against the plan to quickly track the special elections.

But some Maya locals have talked that they have not heard much about support 50 and are more concerned about the growing costs of California’s life, access to water for their farms and the threat of immigration raids. Others, however, told Maya that they saw support 50 as a “grip of power”, which would further limit Republican voters.
