The new video game console review is an isolated experience. You can get a device in the mail, connect it to the TV, then play a set of games on your own, or sometimes, with a small handful of other people who have a review. You must test everything you can think of quickly, then the race to get an article ready to publish before launching to help readers understand what they enter.
This is how things went when I covered Tom Warren PlayStation 5 and Xbox X. In 2020, but with Nintendo Switch 2, things are not very simple – and will take many people.
Well, things will be slightly backward. Usually, we publish one large review and then follow it with many other stories that dig into specific elements of the device – new control units, unique software features, and specific games. It is a way to explore each aspect of the new control unit and get a wide range of views.
This time, we will start with that deeper diving. A complete set of freedomEmployee staff has put pre -staff and is now staring at tracking numbers or willingness to lock up to break their unit tonight. This crew will then go to work in writing every aspect Our previous practical aidsLike the facade, the menus, the different game updates, and how to taste the cartridges. They will be able to provide all kinds of views and interesting ideas that help distribute our coverage to the control unit
Our full review will come to switch 2 after that. Now, I am sitting at the dining room table in my house, in full view of the front window, waiting for the appearance of my console. Once it arrives, I will ignore all the stagnation basins and my meetings, and diving in testing each side of the device for our comprehensive review. I will also review Mario Cart WorldIt is to release the offer to switch 2. If you want to do it properly, I need some time. This means that my review of both the console and its leading game will be “late” – and this means that they will not be published directly on the launch day (and you must be a little skeptical about anything it does).
This may seem complicated, and like our reviews and other coverage they will be transferred. But it is actually a good thing in many respects. What I lose in time-although I will be as soon as I can-earn more experience in the real world. I will be able to test key 2 alongside real people in a real environment, without the ghost of the launch day that is waving on the horizon on our heads.
This is especially important for the new Nintendo control unit, given that the multiple Gamechat service that focuses on players is one of its distinctive features. This is not something I can tested carefully at the only limit of the introduction period. Instead, I will be able to get a more accurate experience of a video similar to video with my friends while destroying them completely in Mario Map.
That’s it. Switch 2 is a big deal, and it is the first launch of a major console in half a decade, so I would like to be as appropriate as possible. But more importantly, it is a precise feeling of a similar to the device in the real world – and for this, we will just have to wait a little.
