Here’s how to watch all the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies in order

I first saw Jurassic Park one fateful day during middle school when my teacher rolled around in a cart topped with a CRT TV, opened a VHS tape, and pressed play. I was instantly impressed, and have since watched the film countless times, including a 2013 trip to see it in 3D on the big screen at my AMC theater.

Jurassic World: Rebirth It was released in July 2025 as the seventh film in the series. With runtimes ranging from 1 hour and 32 minutes for Jurassic Park III to 2 hours and 27 minutes for Jurassic World: Dominion, binge-watching the series is a 14-hour and 40-minute commitment. Or 14 hours and 54 minutes if you watch the 14-minute, 2-hour and 41-minute extended version of Jurassic World: Dominion. But life, oh, finds a way. I recommend watching the entire Jurassic Park series before Rebirth. There are numerous plot lines and plot points that connect the films, including the Jurassic World expansion that explains the themes of genetic experimentation from the original trilogy. The Jurassic Park sequel, The Lost World, saw the return of Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) and John Hammond (Richard Attenborough). Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) return in Jurassic Park III.

Jurassic World revived the series in 2015 with the action returning to Isla Nublar – where it all began in the original film – this time with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard starring. Goldblum returns in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom alongside Pratt and Howard. Jurassic World: Dominion falls firmly in the middle of the Jurassic Park/Jurassic World Venn diagram, with franchise stars Pratt, Howard, Goldblum, Neal, and Dern making up the cast.

Although there is continuity between the entire series to varying degrees, the Jurassic World films really build on each other. You maybe Being able to skip Jurassic Park III if the roughly 15-hour marathon bites off more than you can chew – the film is even set on a different island than the original, Isla Sorna. But Jurassic World, Fallen Kingdom, Dominion, and Rebirth are somewhat interconnected, with important world-building elements. So, although I recommend watching everything, you should at least watch Jurassic Park and The Lost World along with the Jurassic World movies.

In addition to the main films, there are two separate television series: Jurassic World: Cretaceous Camp and Jurassic World: Chaos Theory. Both offers Canonical And while you don’t need to watch them to follow the film series, they are additive, providing more of the franchise to explore for hardcore fans. Both Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory are available to stream Netflix.
