Ads in Google search results They get a clearer labelAnd a way to hide it if you’re not interested. useful! The thing is, you still have to look at them first.
Currently, Google labels paid results on search pages individually with a “Sponsored” tag on each page. This change groups them all into a collapsible section at the top of the page with one larger label that remains displayed as you scroll. in bottom In the section you will see a button to hide sponsored results, so you will have to scroll over it first. Press the button to hide it and it will remain collapsed under this supported heading; Clicking again to show sponsored results opens it. Google says the update is now rolling out to both desktop and mobile.
Over the years, Google has made paid search results look more and more like organic results, with… Lots of backlash along the way. The company moved from Classification of paid results as “Ads” to “Sponsored” Circa 2020. A cynic might think this sounds friendlier to a generation of people who are used to influencers. The company describes this latest update as an effort to “make navigation easier,” which I believe is true. Wouldn’t it make navigation easier if I could hide the sponsored results before I get past them? I think so! But there is no way you can put Google at risk Bread and butter business like this.
