Google tests a new “ASK Of Me” feature that uses artificial intelligence to connect to local companies on your behalf, to obtain information about availability and pricing. The feature is available on the desktop and mobile for users who chose the company Search laboratories Experiences.
The idea is to help users access information without having to capture the phone and talk to someone.
To start, you can use me to inquire about services in nail salons and car stores.
If you are registered in search laboratories, you can access the new feature by searching for local services such as “oil change” or “nearby nail salons”. You will then see the option “Ask me” with the “Start” button.
You were then asked to enter details about this service, such as “Tire Replacement”, “scheduled maintenance of the factory”, “French manicure”, “nail art”, and more. From there, you can enter information about the time frame. Google’s artificial intelligence will then make calls to local companies on your behalf and send you a summary of prices and availability.
The launch comes at a time when Google is looking for ways to help users save time when contacting companies with the help of artificial intelligence. Last year, the company issued a feature called “Talk to a direct representative” This makes a call to a business on your behalf, is waiting for waiting, then gives you a call as soon as you have a direct actor.
The feature gets rid of the need for users to wait for an countdown, sometimes hours, and listen to music in an attempt to contact the customer service agent.
Regarding the features of other search laboratories, Google has been launched recently “Daily listening” It is an AI’s audio experience designed to help you stay always informed by nourishing customized news.
