Gemini gets notebooks to help you organize projects

Google’s Gemini is getting a feature called Notebooks to help you organize things around certain topics in one place while using the AI-powered chatbot. The company announced on Wednesday. You can drag things like files, past conversations, and personalized instructions into notebooks that Gemini can use as context while you talk to her.

Notebooks look very similar to the ChatGPT Projects feature, which was released In 2024 Likewise Allows users Store things about a particular topic in one place. Google says it “thinks of notebooks as personal knowledge bases shared across Google products, starting with Gemini.” Gemini’s Notebooks also sync with Google’s NotebookLM AI search tool, meaning resources you add while using one app will appear in both.

Gemini Notebooks will roll out this week on the web to subscribers to Google AI Ultra, Pro, and Plus plans, according to Google. The feature will be available on mobile and free users in the “coming weeks.”
