Fujifilm updates the X-T30 with 6K video and a film simulation disc

The dial also has three settings for custom looks that you can create by adjusting settings that include film grain, hue, highlights, and saturation.

The X-T30 III is primarily a still photography-oriented camera with shooting rates still capping at 20fps when using its electronic shutter, but this faster processor has allowed Fujifilm to offer improved video capabilities. It can now capture 10-bit 6.2K footage at 30fps, while frame rates jump to up to 60fps at 4K, and 240fps at 1080p for slow motion.

There’s still no in-body stabilization on the X-T30 line — you’ll need to step up to the $1,399 X-T50 for that. But the X-T30 III offers faster autofocus, the ability to prioritize a subject’s face and eyes, and AI target recognition and tracking including animals, birds, cars, trains, insects, planes and drones.

Other improvements include better battery life with up to 425 shots taken in Eco mode where autofocus performance is reduced and the camera’s tilting LCD screen.
