The long -awaited anti -monopoly experience began between Meta and the Federal Trade Committee on April 14. For almost two months, the provincial court judge, James Boasberg, hears arguments about whether Facebook illegally monopolizes the market for “personal social media services” through Instagram and WhatsApp.
FTC brought the case for the first time in late 2020. While it was initially delivered by the judge, the amended version was allowed to move forward after the government strengthened details about the reason its Meta belief is a monopoly. This stage of the trial will help the judge determine whether the definition is responsible for breaking the anti -monopoly law. If it finds it right, it will later judge how to treat these damages. This is the third American trial that seeks to dismantle large technology in recent years, in the wake of my separate case of the Ministry of Justice against Google On her research and Technology technology ads.
