Formula 1 racing arrives on Apple TV screens in 2026


Building on the momentum of F1 movie And expansion Live sports showsApple announced Friday that it has signed a five-year partnership with Formula 1 to bring racing to its streaming service starting in 2026.

Beyond the race broadcasts, Formula 1 will feature across the entire Apple ecosystem, including Apple News, Apple Fitness Plus, Apple Music and Apple Maps, similar to the promotional campaign seen in F1 The Movie. Free Apple Sports app It will roll out live updates for every race during the season and will include up-to-the-minute stats on the leaderboard, along with “season and constructor driver standings, live activities to follow on the lock screen, and a dedicated widget for the iPhone home screen.”

The offering – which features multi-view cameras, live in-car cameras and team radios – is intended for new and existing Formula 1 TV subscribers, Ian Holmes, Formula 1’s director of media rights, said during a press conference about the partnership.

With Formula 1’s popularity growing, CEO Stefano Domenicali, along with Apple Senior Vice President of Services Eddy Cue, expressed their excitement about the new collaboration and the strengthening of its audience in the United States.

“2026 represents a transformative new era for Formula 1, from new teams to new regulations and cars with the best drivers in the world, and we look forward to bringing outstanding and innovative fan-first coverage to our customers in a way that only Apple can,” Keogh said.

“This is an incredibly exciting partnership for Apple and the entire Formula 1 company that will ensure we can continue to maximize our growth potential in the US through the right content and innovative distribution channels,” Domenicali said in a statement.

An Apple TV subscription costs $13 per month in the US, but is also available as a bundle with Comcast StreamSaver And the new Peacock pack.
