Ford executives are considering scrapping its flagship electric pickup truck, the F-150 Lightning, according to the British Daily Mail. The Wall Street Journal.
The discussions are taking place in the wake of Ford’s decision in late October to halt production of the F-150 Lightning while prioritizing hybrid and gas-engined versions of the popular pickup. The company has been dealing with production issues after a fire broke out at aluminum supplier Novelis’s plant in Oswego, New York, earlier this year.
