Fitbit users now have until May to switch to a Google account


Fitbit users who decline to move their data to a Google Account now have until May 19, 2026 to make the switch. the Previous deadline February 2nd was just days away, but that date has been updated On the Google Help page To migrate your Fitbit account.

The post now also specifies that “you can still download or delete your data at any time before we begin processing data deletions on July 15, 2026.” Google has already noted that their Fitbit account data will be deleted, but now users have a specific time frame for this to happen — and it looks like they’ll have an additional two months to download their Fitbit data even after the new account migration deadline.

This isn’t the first time Google has delayed the deadline for Fitbit account migrations, which it was It was originally scheduled for 2025 Before it was postponed to February 2. After the deadline, May 19, Fitbit users will lose access to their accounts and the historical data associated with those accounts, unless they download that data or choose to keep it when they migrate to a Google Account.
