Facebook Declare On Tuesday, live videos will now be stored on the social network for 30 days, after which they will be deleted. Previously, these videos are stored indefinitely. The change comes into effect on Wednesday.
All live videos valued at 30 days will be removed from the platform as part of this change. Before deleting videos, users will receive a notification and 90 days will be presented to choose what to do with their old direct content. Users can choose to download videos on their devices, transfer them to cloud storage capacity, or convert content into a new ball.
In the blog post, Facebook states that “these changes will comply with our storage policies with industry standards and help to ensure that we offer the latest live video experiences for everyone on Facebook.” Another explanation has been provided. (TECHCRUNCH was contacted to comment but the response was not immediately available.)
TWITCH, one of the largest Facebook live, stores the previous 60 -day broadcasts for Twitch partners, subsidiaries, and Prime Streamers. For regular signs, platforms are stored in direct videos for 14 days. YouTube, which is another common home for live videos, stores broadcasts indefinitely by converting them into regular videos (unless the user chooses to disrupt the archiving).

Facebook notes that if users need more time to download their old direct videos, they can choose to delete the deletion for six months. If they don’t choose yet, their old direct videos will be removed and they will not be able to reach them.
The social network runs new downloading tools to help users maintain old direct videos.
Users can greatly download old direct videos by selecting the option to “download direct videos” in the notification they receive about the next deletion. Or they can click the “Live Video Transfer” option and then choose the associated cloud storage provider, such as Dropbox or Google Drive.
Facebook uses change as a way to pay more payment rollers, as it is noted that users have the option to convert some of their favorite moments from direct videos to rollers in order to keep them on their page.
