Owen Skawa, founder Eloy IHe wants his platform to be the “AI immune system” and “antivirus software for any AI agent.”
The idea, Sakawa said in an interview a few days ago Disable TechCrunch Conference, where Elloe AI is a top 20 finalist in The emerging battlefield The competition is to add a layer to corporate LLM certifications that checks for bias, hallucinations, errors, compliance issues, misinformation and unsafe output.
“AI is evolving at a very fast pace, and it is moving at this speed with no guardrails, no safety nets, no mechanism to keep it from going off the rails,” Sakawa (pictured above) said.
Elloe AI is an application programming interface (API), or SDK, a module that sits on top of the AI model’s output layer, which is “infrastructure on top of your LLM pipeline,” Sakawa explains. “He basically sits there validating every answer.”
The startup ecosystem has its own layers, or “anchors,” as Sakawa puts it.
The first anchor checks the LLM response against verifiable sources. The second anchor then checks whether the output violates any regulations, such as the US health privacy law HIPAA, and the far-reaching European data protection and privacy law General Data Protection RegulationOr if he discloses some private personal information (PII). The final anchor is an audit trail that shows how all previous decisions were made and allows regulators or anyone reviewing the system to “analyze the train of thought of that model in terms of where the decision was made, where that decision came from, and the degree of confidence for all those decisions,” according to Sakawa.
To be clear, Sakawa said that Elloe AI is not built on an MBA, because in his view, having an MBA check out other MBAs is just putting “a band-aid on another wound.” The Elloe AI system uses artificial intelligence techniques, such as machine learning. Sakawa said there are humans in the loop: Elloe AI employees, who keep up with new regulations on data protection and user protection.
