Elden Ring: Nightreign It was a surprise hit when it was released earlier in the year. Developer FromSoftware has taken the Elden Ring formula of intense combat in a dark fantasy world and turned it into a fast-paced online multiplayer adventure in repetitive, rogue-like matches. Next month, the game will get its first official DLC, which was first revealed in Playable Tuesday and will be available on December 4.
Elden Ring Nightreign: Abandoned Hollows It is an upcoming DLC for the episodic online game that will add more character classes, bosses, and playable content to the game. This update arrives at the perfect time for players who have been playing game after game and demanding something new.
The biggest addition coming in the DLC is the two new Nightfarer classes to play as. The first, the scholar, is described as “an academic walking among the lands.” He’s listed as having “impressive arcane levels,” meaning he should be able to deal heavy bleed damage to enemies, as arcane is the primary stat to trigger this effect in the game. The Seeker also has “incredible advantages through observing the battlefield,” which likely indicates a special ability, though it’s unclear what it could be.
The second Nightfarer is Undertaker, who is referred to as “the abbess who was tasked with killing the Night Lord.” Her description says that she has incredible strength and faith, giving the impression that she will be able to strike down enemies as well as heal her teammates.
There are also new bosses added in The Forsaken Hollow. The first is the Dreglord, who will be one of the two new bosses at the end of the night. There are also an unannounced number of new field bosses, which could see the return of one of the Dark Souls series’ most iconic characters. At the end of the trailer appears Atorias, a tragic hero turned murderous lord who appeared in DLC for the original Dark Souls.
Also in the DLC is a new Shifting Earth mode, which will change the state of the map if it occurs during a play session, as well as more points of interest to explore. Players should also expect a slew of balance changes to the current roster of characters.
Yes, you will need Elden Ring: Nightreign to play the DLC, however, you do not need a copy of Elden Ring.
Elden Ring Nightreign: The Forsaken Hollows will release on December 4 for $15 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series
