Duolingo launches a new short form Anime The series introduces a new backstory for Duo — the lemon-colored bird — and his companions, according to a press release from Duolingo. The anime series coincides with the launch of the updated Japanese Duolingo courses, and all of the series’ voice acting will be in Japanese. Translations will be available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Hindi, Japanese, Korean and Thai.
According to the statement, the show focuses on the early days of the Duo and the team, who “must overcome various challenges to keep their streak — and each other — alive.” Duolingo produced the series in partnership with animation studio Titmouse.
