In my opinion, one of the best annual winter traditions of 2020 is the collaboration between Columbia Sportswear and Star Wars. Over the past two years, we have seen Full assortment of outdoor equipment Aim to show everyone you’re a big Star Wars fan no matter the weather. after Darth Vader’s takeover last yearthere was really only one logical place to go in this year’s lineup – the forest moon of Endor. If you want to ensure your participation in this cooperation, you need to prepare now.
You can’t have a conversation about Return of the Jedi without a deep appreciation for the Endor arc in the story. It’s action-packed, has some of the best costumes in the entire original trilogy, and everyone loves seeing Ewoks besiege Stormtroopers. You can see every aspect of Endor in the Columbia Sportswear lineup, and how much effort the team behind this line has put into making it special for Star Wars fans.
Columbia’s General Solo Trench is divided into three individually wearable pieces, all of which contain Star Wars Easter eggs.
Like other Star Wars releases, the top product is a $600 modular raincoat modeled after Han Solo himself. It’s a three-in-one design covered in clever little nods to the character and the movie, but Columbia did something new this year.
The inner lining, which Columbia calls its Omni-Heat reflective pattern, features the Rebel Starbird symbol in gold throughout. This version of the Omni-Heat can be found across this entire line, making it a great little detail to show off to your friends.
If Solo isn’t what you’re aiming for, there are plenty of other options in this group. The $400 Endor Issue Coat is a waterproof coat that’s almost costume-ready with side snaps to fit you and elastic cords in the arms to keep water out. This product is not intended for extreme cold, but wearing this product while hiking in the woods makes for a great photo opportunity.
The rest of the winter collection includes a $150 Endor Issue jacket, a matching set of $130 thermal pants, a $220 pair of matching boots, and a selection of hats and pullovers with a similar theme throughout. But the real star of the show, in my opinion, is the junior’s Ewok fleece jacket.
Tell me you wouldn’t wear this if it were in adult sizes. I dare you.
Columbia will have these in sizes from infant to youth sizes and they all have those ridiculously cute ears on top. I’m sure Columbia had a good reason for not making an adult version of this collection, and I’m not bitter at all about that.
This Endor kit comes with Columbia website at 10 a.m. ET on December 11. If you are part of the free Colombia Big Rewards Program You will be able to access this initial sale 30 minutes early. Select parts of this collection will also be available at two Columbia Sportswear stores, though historically most availability has been at the stores closest to the Disney parks. No matter how well you get your collection going this year, you’ll be ready to show off your fandom no matter the temperature outside.
