Samsung’s latest update to its Family Hub smart refrigerator line adds a feature you’ve always wanted — opening and closing the door by voice.

Using your device’s built-in Bixby voice control, you’ll soon be able to say, “Close the refrigerator door” or “Open the door,” and your device will respond.

According to a press release issued by Samsung at CES 2026 this week, voice commands will open the entire door, not just a small portion — more than 90 degrees. You can also tap on the door with the palm of your hand or the back of your hand to activate the motion.
