Chocolate bars listed at Spring & Mulberry were flagged as contaminated during routine third-party testing by the company’s contract manufacturer. A Mint Leaf product tested positive for Salmonella.
Salmonella is a food-borne illness that can cause a bacterial infection after consuming contaminated foods or beverages. What to do if your Spring & Mulberry chocolate bars are recalled
If you purchase Spring & Mulberry chocolate bars with one of the above batch codes on the package, do not eat them. Take a photo of the quantity code and email it to Recalls@springandmulberry.com For a refund or exchange, then throw away the chocolate.
Spring & Mulberry’s recall email states that if you purchase your bars from Amazon, include your Amazon order number or a screenshot of your order because Amazon does not allow Spring & Mulberry to search for orders by customer name or email alone.
The US Food and Drug Administration published the recall on January 15. There are no confirmed illnesses yet, and other payment codes are not affected.
A Spring & Mulberry representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
