When do you watch the Brazil vs. France match?
Where to watch
Two of my favorites for this summer Football World Cup The Brazilian national team continues its preparations on Thursday with a high-level friendly match in the United States, where Brazil faces France at Gillette Stadium. Brazil heads to the next tournament in search of its sixth World Cup title, but it was not convincing during the qualifiers after suffering six defeats in 18 matches.
The big talking point in this game is coach Carlo Ancelotti’s decision to drop Neymar from the squad, with the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain striker’s participation in the World Cup now in serious doubt. France’s road to this year’s World Cup was smoother, with the 2018 winners securing their place with five wins and one draw in their qualifying campaign.
With Paris Saint-Germain star Bradley Barkula absent due to injury, coach Didier Deschamps appears ready to experiment with a formidable attacking quartet consisting of youngster Desiree Doue, captain Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembélé and Bayern Munich’s in-form star Michael Olise in today’s warm-up match.
Brazil will meet France at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts Thursday 26 March. Kick off is set for 4pm ET or 1pm PT. This makes it 9pm CET Starting in Europe, the 8 PM GMT Start in the UK. For viewers in Australia, the match starts on 7am AEST On Friday morning.
Michael Olise is set to start in the 10th position today after a fantastic season for Bayern Munich, where he has scored 19 goals and made 25 assists in 44 games this season.
Today’s friendly match will be broadcast in the US on linear TV station ESPN 2. This means you will be able to stream the match in the US through ESPN Select.
ESPN’s streaming platforms now offer two tiers with its new direct-to-consumer setup: ESPN Select and ESPN Unlimited. ESPN Select is essentially what ESPN Plus was, with the same content available to subscribers, including La Liga soccer, for $12 per month. If you want full access to ESPN’s networks and services, such as ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPNNews, and ESPN Deportes, plus all ESPN Select content, ESPN Unlimited is the perfect solution. It costs $30 per month.
The good news for UK football fans is that free-to-air channel ITV will be showing this friendly match, with this game being shown on ITV4.
Coverage begins at 7:50pm GMT before kick-off at 8pm.
As the match is broadcast on ITV1, this means you will also have the option to watch the game online for free via the network’s on-demand streaming service, ITVX (formerly ITV Hub).
The service has an updated app available for Android and Apple mobile devices, as well as a wide range of smart TVs.
No broadcaster Down Under has the right to show this game live. It also means that if you’re traveling to Australia, you’re unlikely to be able to watch the game as you normally would at home due to geo-blocking.
It’s the same story in Canada, where no channel has the rights to broadcast this international friendly match.
