Some of the best digital notebooks we’ve tried come from reMarkable, and one of the reMarkable models always seems to top our digital notebook guide. While the Paper Pro Move is the latest model, the… Remarkable Paper Pro The one that launched in September 2024 is my current favorite. It’s not only powerful with lots of tools and an easy interface, but it has a color display for colorful notes. It also has a nice front light so you can use it in dark environments. The bundles are on sale right now, so combine one of the reMarkable markers and binders with Paper Pro for $50 off.

The color of Libra’s kobo is My favorite all-in-one e-reader With its color screen and page-turn buttons, but you can add a pen to make it more of a digital notebook. It’s one of the more affordable options, and it’s a smaller screen than the rest of these options, but I especially like that you can use the pen to draw on the books you’re reading (something you can’t do with Kindle Scribe). It’s $30 off on Kobo for Black Friday.

Kindle Scribe (2024)

the Second generation Kindle Writer It’s not the best digital laptop, but the long battery life (12 weeks!!) and convenient starting point of being a Kindle that I can actually read on makes it a great choice for note-takers and doodlers. It’s a good option for Kindle and Amazon users, and there are new models due out this winter, but they probably won’t be as cheap as this one. (Especially since some of these new models will have colors!)
