Belkin’s new power bank gives your smartphone a camera grip for $80

The imaging capabilities of many smartphones may now rival dedicated cameras, but their ergonomics do not. Belkin’s PowerGrip technology solves this problem with a DSLR-style grip on one end, giving you a secure way to hold your smartphone while taking photos, even when your phone is in portrait mode. The PowerGrip also has its own shutter button, positioned on the top edge of the grip so it’s below your finger, which takes photos using your phone’s Bluetooth connection.

Apple sells a similar accessory through its website called ShiftCam SnapGrip Pro It costs $90 but its battery is limited to 5,000 mAh and can only charge two devices at once. Belkin’s PowerGrip is more capacious and can charge up to three using a Qi magnetic charger, a USB-C port, and a built-in 30-inch retractable USB-C cable. It also has a small LCD screen on the front that shows the remaining battery capacity and a mounting screw on the bottom of the handle to attach to a tripod.
