Baseus Inspire XH1 headphones review: Excellence at affordable prices


Transparency is very good, and I’m really annoyed that it doesn’t work when I’m on a call. If so, these cans would be great for long calls and meetings. Microphones are remarkably adept at keeping background noise invisible to callers. When that noise was particularly loud, my voice faded somewhat, but only the high-pitched wail of a siren managed to break through. When my environment was quieter, the XH1 maintained my sound more stable and clearer than the Soundcore Space One Pro ($200).

Daily drivers

I’m not sure there’s any consensus on how much battery life is “enough” for a set of wireless headphones, but I’m willing to bet that no one has ever said, “My headphones last too long between charges.” So I’ll go so far as to say that most people will be thrilled with Baseus’s claim of up to 100 hours for the Inspire XH1.

To get this level of stamina, you’ll need to keep the volume at no more than 50 percent, turn off both ANC and Transparency, avoid using Dolby Audio, and only connect via AAC (rather than LDAC). However, even with ANC turned on, the company says you’ll get up to 65 hours of playback, more than any leading wireless headphones from Bose, Sony, Apple, or Sennheiser. If a few weeks pass and you forget to charge it, a quick 10-minute charge provides an additional 12 hours of playtime.

It’s tempting to cast the Inspire If you’re looking for a pair of headphones that offer great sound, good noise cancellation, and top-notch transparency on a budget, every Baseus model is worth a look.
