Balsam Hill’s Black Friday sale continues. Save 40% on the best fake Christmas tree

Vermont White An artificial spruce Christmas tree is the best fake tree you can buy, and that’s not just our opinion. Last month, we rented a studio, sourced 10 of the most popular artificial Christmas trees on the market, gathered 10 volunteers together to put the trees together and blow them up, and then invited three interior designers to judge them blind.

The Vermont white spruce won the contestvery close to the ideal result. This is the best fake Christmas tree you can buy, based on the most comprehensive testing we’ve seen. However, like Other Balsam Hill TreesIt’s not cheap. The list price is $1,700, although it is usually listed for sale for a few hundred dollars. It’s now priced at $999, which is the cheapest we’ve seen this year.

Maybe your tree is already finished for the year, or maybe you don’t want to spend a huge amount on a fake Christmas tree, but this represents a great deal on a tree you’ll likely have for a decade or more.

  • Like other pre-lit Balsam Hill trees, you don’t have to worry about any wires to connect them. The three parts click together and make an automatic electrical connection, so when you plug it in and press a button, it’s ready to decorate.
  • It’s very vibrant. Light a Yankee Spruce-scented candle, and you might fool some guests with just the right light. This is a stocky, leafy tree where you can’t see straight through the metal trunk.
  • You get a lot of great little perks like free shipping over $350, a very sturdy plastic carrying case, and even gloves to protect your hands while you’re moving it (budget at least an hour to set up the branches).

After testing the trees, we let the people who assembled them take them home — my friend Lexi Wermeister reported that the tree was easy to handle in her home. She warns people not to throw away the plastic covers that come with it, as the sharp metal joint of the tree has cut right through its carrying case.
