Apple offers a set of Update child safety featuresIncluding the person who will give parents more control over those whose children can communicate with. The features are scheduled to reach iOS 26, iPados 26, MacOS Tahoe 26, Watchos 26, VisionOS 26 and TVOS 26, which will be launched this fall.
Children will now be asked to obtain parental approval when they want to communicate with a new phone number. Requests will appear in the messaging application, and parents can click a button for approval or decrease. Apple also runs “Sermissionkit” that will allow developers a similar feature in their applications so that children can “send requests to their parents to chat, follow up or friends.”
The company’s parental controls automatically apply protection such as web filters and applications for children under the age of 13, and Apple will enable “similar to age” for children between the ages of 13 and 17. The Apple communication tool is updated for “intervention” when nudity is discovered in the calls of face and meat times in common albums, the company says. The age classifications will expand in the App Store to include more granular categories, including 13 Plus, 16 Plus and 18 Plus.
In addition, Apple will allow parents to share the child’s age group with applications, as the company says, without revealing their specified birthday. The developers can request the age group information as “API announced on the age group”.
Apple has examined some of the new features in the press statement today in a white paper from Earlier this year.
