Apple Coo Jeff Williams to step down later this month


Jeff Williams, Apple’s chief operational, stepped down from his role later this month, like Declare By the company on Tuesday. Sabih Khan, who is currently appointed as the first Vice President of Operations, was appointed as the new director of operations.

Williams decided to step down for retirement and hope to “spend more time with friends and family, including five descendants of promise,” he said in the press statement.

Before his retirement later this year, Williams will continue to submit a report to CEO Tim Cook and supervise the design team as well as Apple Watch. After Williams retires, the Apple design team will move directly to Cook.

After working in Apple nearly three decades ago, Williams played an important role in providing iPod and iPhone programs, which leads to the development of Apple Watch and the supervision of the design team, among other contributions.
