Anker is not a newcomer to Portable power station and Backup battery for home market. We’ve tested and recommended quite a few power stations that offer home backup capabilities, including… Anker Solex F3800 Pluswhich currently holds a place on our list of the best portable power stations tested.
The Anker Solix E10 is unique in that it’s not just a standalone home backup or portable power station. It integrates a battery, solar power, and a smart fuel generator to keep your home powered in three different ways during a power outage or emergency. According to Anker, it’s scalable, allowing you to add multiple batteries. It also features easy-to-use, stackable installation, which is not usually the case with home power backups of this capacity.

A single E10 unit can provide up to 37.2 kilowatts (kW) of power, allowing it to power energy-hungry appliances, including a 5-ton air conditioner. A double set of E10s can provide up to 66 kW of power. The unit supports a turbo output of 10 kilowatts per unit, for up to 90 minutes, allowing you to power the most demanding devices and protect essentials such as medical devices, refrigeration and Wi-Fi when needed.
You can pair it with Power Dock, which provides a 200-amp whole-home backup by powering every circuit in the house, rather than just a select few, as is usually the case with most home backups. The power dock also supports 20-20ms switching, which should be enough protection for the devices.
You can also install a Smart Inlet Box as an alternative to a Power Dock, providing manual switching during a power outage and supporting grid charging using existing solar systems.
The system comes with a variety of additional add-ons that enhance its functionality, such as a Smart Inlet Box.
One of Anker’s biggest selling points with the E10 is scalability. The 6kWh batteries are modular, allowing you to combine three E10 modules to achieve up to 90kWh. This capacity provides 15 days of backup power for the family, making it a suitable option for prolonged power outages.
Each E10 module supports 9kW solar input or 27kW for three modules. Anker says it’s compatible with all solar panels, including mountable, portable, and third-party solar systems. The smart generator can also charge the battery directly through DC connection.
The E10 has an all-metal NEMA 4 enclosure with F1 UV protection. Anker says it can operate reliably in temperatures ranging from -4 degrees Fahrenheit to 131 degrees Fahrenheit. It supports wall and floor installation.
A single E10 module can provide 37.2 kilowatts of power, helping to keep critical circuits running during grid failures caused by weather, wildfires or maintenance.
