Android launches a new safety feature that forces the devices to restart themselves if you do not lock them for a while, making it difficult for others to access data inside. The feature included in Google Play services update And the Android phones will automatically reinforced them “if it is locked for 3 consecutive days”, which requires users to enter their passcode the next time they want to open the device.
like 9to5google NotesThis update should apply to both Android phones and tablets, but it will exclude the categories of other devices such as Auto, TV and Wearos. Putting the restart function – which cannot be confused with re -setting the device that brings it back to the factory settings – phones and tablets in the case of the first lock unlock (BFU) encrypts data files and disrupts the biometric login support support until the device’s pin is inserted.
We have asked Google to clarify when the Google Play Services update will be launched 25.14, and any Android devices will support the new Auto -reot feature. This Android feature drops can take a week or two to appear.
It is not clear whether the devices will notify users why it has happened automatically, although Android phones already display a message on the PIN screen if users need to enter their passcode to completely unlock the device after restart.
