Amazon Luna announced Big change on Friday This will prevent players from purchasing third-party games and subscriptions. The cloud gaming service will remove previously purchased games on June 10, 2026, though they will still be available to play on other platforms through the EA, GOG, or Ubisoft accounts used when purchasing the game.
In keeping with these changes, Amazon Luna will no longer support EA, Ubisoft, or GOG’s third-party stores. It will also discontinue subscriptions to Ubisoft Plus and Jackbox Games, and says it will cancel active subscriptions purchased through Luna at the end of the billing cycle. Amazon Luna is getting rid of the “Bring Your Own Library” feature as well, meaning players can no longer access titles from third-party platforms on Luna after June 3. The platform says it will not offer refunds for third-party games purchased through Luna.
This latest update will prevent users from playing games outside of those included in their Amazon Luna subscription. the Luna Standard Service Plan, Which is included with a $14.99 Amazon Prime subscription, and comes with games like EA Sports FC 26, Hogwarts Legacy, Skyrim, Stranded deathand more, instead $9.99 per month Luna Premium It has an extensive library of games with Alien: isolation, Border areas 3and Phonetic boundaries.
Brittney Heffner, Amazon Luna spokeswoman, says: Edge in an email stating that the service is “moving away from certain subscription, game store and a la carte purchasing models in favor of approaches that we believe work best for our customers in the long term.” Hefner adds that Amazon will continue to “invest in a broad range of gaming experiences,” which includes “strong third-party titles” available through a Luna subscription.
