the Alexa.com The website appears to be live to some users. Browser-based home for Alexa Plus, the company A renewed digital voice assistantIt was the first It was announced at the Alexa Plus launch event In February. But until recently, Alexa.com You have been redirected to the information page. Now, some users, myself included, are seeing a new Alexa Plus web interface.
Today when I wrote Alexa.com In my web browser, it took me to a page that looked like the Alexa Plus chatbot in the Alexa app. (I’m already signed in to my Amazon.com account.)
I went through a few setup steps, then got to a big blue/white screen that said “Hi Jane, how can I help?” Prompt above the text box. The box has an option to upload a file, and there are links to the drop-down menus below: Plan, Learn, Create, Shop, and Search.
The menus include pre-made prompts that take you to the chatbot interface, such as “Plan my next vacation,” “Create a study guide for my exam,” “Shop trending products,” and “Reserve a table for a restaurant.” At the bottom of the chatbot, written in small print, is a warning: “Alexa may not always do the right thing.”
The toolbar on the left contains shortcuts to recent conversations (including those on my Echo devices), access to controls for my smart home (which responded quickly), my calendar, my Alexa lists, reminders, and tasks, as well as a files section. The latter option gives you access to any files or photos you’ve uploaded to Alexa Plus, as well as emails you’ve sent to it – all features that arrived with the new assistant.
Many of these things Alexa Plus can do on Echo devices and in the app — only here you can interact more easily via a keyboard and larger screen.
I haven’t spent a lot of time playing with the web interface, but I’m looking to find an easier way to interact with Alexa Plus and Alexa features when I don’t want to use voice. I can already see that it would be a huge upgrade to use the app, which is still very outdated. I often used Alexa’s previous web interface, Amazon Discontinued in 2022and lost functionality (especially the ability to delete smart home devices in bulk).

The web interface is clearly a move to make Alexa Plus more integrated into its users’ daily workflow. It would be helpful to be able to control my smart home devices and add items to my shopping list with a few taps on my desk.
But this is also Amazon’s first big move to make Alexa Plus an AI assistant you can use everywhere, not just at home. One that competes with ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. From what I’ve seen so far, it seems like a good start.
Access to Alexa.com appears to be in limited release, and you must have Alexa Plus, which is still in beta. Early access program. It requires a Prime membership, and Amazon said it will also be available via a $19.99 per month subscription.
