After 5 months, $1,200 worth of Besties All-In tequila bottles finally started shipping

When the popular All-In presenters launched their tequila brand at a star-studded party last June, all 750 bottles were consumed. The $1,200 spirit sold out quickly. But getting these bottles into customers’ hands has proven more difficult than expected.

Bottles of the long-awaited Besties All-In tequila began shipping last week to those who ordered them, ending a nearly five-month wait, podcast host Jason Calacanis told TechCrunch.

The hitch was the unusual bottle. “The handmade bottles took a little longer to make than expected, but the bottles started shipping last week!” Calacanis said. The bottle is designed as a collector’s item and looks like a stack of poker chips lit from below. He pays homage to the game of poker, one of the podcast hosts’ favorite pastimes along with drinking tequila.

Buyers were told at the time that they could expect delivery by the end of the summer. But summer came and went. The clients not only distributed the $1,200, but also paid taxes and other fees.

One TechCrunch reader told us that delivery has been repeatedly delayed: it was pushed to October, then November, and most recently, one person was told delivery would be “after November,” according to a message seen by TechCrunch from the distributor Flaviarthe spirits market deals with distribution.

Both product Official website Flaviar’s communications reflected the changed timeline — the site originally promised deliveries at the end of summer but now says shipments “will begin in November.” Flavier’s letter indicated that deliveries were being made in batches.

While it is still unclear how long it will take the distributor to fulfill all orders, we at least know that shipments have begun and what the delay is. With any luck, the VCs, pod bros, and “friends” hosting the “All-In” will be sipping the expensive, handcrafted liquor during the upcoming holiday season.
