Abxylute’s new Switch 2 controller is for all the die-hard GameCube fans


Abxylute, the company behind M4 magnetic game boardhe has announced a new pair of controllers for the Nintendo Switch 2 Designed to replace Joy-Cons while playing in handheld mode. Both will launch soon on Kickstarter and feature a design where the Switch 2 docks with the controllers so they can connect and draw power from the controller’s bottom USB-C port. Abxylute N6 is similar to existing accessories such as CRKD Nitro DeckBut the N9C looks like someone cut a GameCube controller in half and stuck to one side of the controller.

Pricing details are unknown for either console, but the N9C will feature a capacitive joystick, ABXY buttons and triggers that use small mechanical switches, and a dedicated C button to access GameChat. The N6 offers a more traditional asymmetric controller design, and some major upgrades over the N9C. It features drift-resistant Hall effect joysticks, thicker grips than standard Joy-Cons, digital triggers, and ABXY buttons that use a rubber membrane for a softer feel. There are a pair of customizable back buttons that can be used to run macros programmed directly on the controller. Underneath the Switch 2 you’ll also find a resonance chamber that directs sound from the console’s speakers toward you, while also boosting low frequencies by about 10 percent, Abxylute claims.
