Recently, it seems that more and more people have been skipping in their creative aspects, and new products reach that creative itch every day. Machines like 3D printersand Vinyl partns Lasers are now available at prices to suit almost any jeep, and allow people to bring their creations in new and interesting ways. If you have the right materials and machines, you can even make profit on stores like ETSY, Tiktok and Shopify. Lasers have been used for years to create anything from small dogs to leather spots for hats. Every laser discussion I use has many pros and cons, so with my CNET colleague Russelli HollyTest criteria have developed to evaluate the best lasers.
the XTOOL P2 It is our best choice for the best laser cutter. It is not the cheapest laser cut around it, but with a set of amazing accessories, wonderful programs, the size of the pieces and the speed that is difficult to ignore, it takes the crown from Glowforge Pro, but barely. It’s huge, so make sure you have space in the workshop to accommodate it. If you are looking for a smaller craft laser, then Glowforge will Wonderful for small projects.
You may notice that there is no open laser inscription in this list. After testing many things, I find them very dangerous for the average user. It may be good for commercial spaces, but the presence of an open laser in the garage is very dangerous to recommend it. The attached laser beam is less likely to pick up burning materials.

XTOOL P2 is the full package for strong fast lasers at home or in a small workshop. Through a full range of accessories that allow you to cut 3 meters long materials, round spinster and glasses, P2 can cut or dig any material you can hope, including glass acrylic and transparent.
The program is excellent and it can help you design your creativity to best suit the cut needs. The camera works well to help you align your materials, but be careful when working near the camera borders, because Fisheeye distorts a little. This package comes with some materials to start and the fire safety system to give you peace of mind.

Glowforge Aura is the first laser clip for consumers targeting the market for beginners. It is smaller than other models, with less powerful lasers, but it works well in a surprising way in smaller projects. We have made beautiful sculptures, drilling and other laser projects on the aura, all of which were excellent.

Like the original F1, the F1 Ultra did not put any end of fun while testing it. There is something special about carving a 3D depth map in a coin, a standing ship, or even a rock of your garden that is difficult to match with the standard laser. F1 ultra is a mixed laser with a blue diode for cutting, standard engraving and laser fiber for 3D sculptures.
The F1 Ultra is slightly larger than F1 and has the same accessories – as the dizziness system and the deceptive work surface – such as F1 as well. The best supplement is the carrier belt, which can be used with the intelligence of the compact software to engraving batches of the same style, so if you need to create 100 other key chains, you can quickly and easily.

It has been some time since I enjoyed the maker of what happened with Xtool F1. It is lightweight and easy to transport if you go to many commercial exhibitions, conferences or farmers’ markets, and with accessories in this package, you can dig collections of products as easily. The program is also excellent, which makes it easy to classify projects or track new projects from an image.
I recently took F1 to the STEM exhibition for primary school children, and it was very common as he was wandering in reducing the school logo on the metal work cards. Although the price is very high for a small pieces area, you can easily restore your money with a little work in the farmers market or two. It deserves investment.

Beamo is the smallest collection of impressive CO2 lasers in Flux, but don’t let the small size deceive you. The 30 -watt laser, although weaker than some in this list, remains strong enough to dig the glass, although you may need an additional diode laser to drill on the steel. It will be happy with wood, skin and acrylic.
Beamo also comes with a useful touch screen on the device, making it easier to control your workshop without connecting a computer directly to it. Flux even has an application that allows you to control Beamo directly from your phone.

WeCreat is a fun small box that can dig many materials and cut it. It will not be carved through thick wood or steel, but it makes projects enjoyable for family fun time. I think it is ideal for schools, especially with its exhaust filter, because the box and help in the air make it safe for the classroom and prevent small fingers from combustion. I have created many projects to separate my child’s kindergarten, and I love all teachers.
Although the program is not as good like Xtool or Glowforge, the camera is accurate and allows you to determine somewhere your materials. It even contains test boxes, so you can try any material and know the energy level you need. This is something that all lasers should have.

Low -energy diode laser is often, with no container to keep you safe. S1 solves both problems by owning a 40W laser that can penetrate from the wood of 18 mm in one corridor, albeit slow. It also has a great container with a green cap to filter laser light and an active exhaust to detonate any smoke. The basic set has air assistance – something that should have all the laser – and the surface of the honey tablet to help reduce the incendiary on the bottom side of your material.
The S1 does not have a camera – I think it should – so everything is dealt with very manually. But this is true for most of the diode laser.

Glowforge has made its task from the beginning to ensure that anyone can use what he calls “laser printers”, and Glowforge Pro is a bright example. The Fisheye camera gives you an offer for the cutting surface of the web application, allowing you to click without the trouble and withdraw the things you want to engrave or cut. If you pay the price of the additional filtering system, you can use this laser anywhere. Of all the systems tested here, the Glowforge focus on the ease of use is a world.
With the ease of use, some restrictions will not find elsewhere. There are many features that make Glowforge Pro Great only if you pay a monthly subscription. If you do not use the Glowforge-Made Directory, the process of determining the correct settings for engraving or cutting becomes completely manual. In addition, the fisheeye lens that Glowforge uses sometimes can cause accuracy problems when you cut or inscription on the perfectly concentrated small surfaces.

You have questions and have answers. we hope!
Laser inscriptions test is a mixture of objective and subjective measures. We spend time measuring speed and accuracy as well as the ability to use and the general appearance of the final product. These tests are done in our laboratories and workshops for a month to ensure that the laser can bear the appropriate use.

The speed is tested with a good -style timing watch. You have created a simple CNET logo design that can be cut on multiple materials. We are time how long it takes to complete the pieces. We use the Basque 3mm wood, black acrylic 3mm and 3.5 mm carton for our test materials, to provide us with a good comprehensive vision. Then we compare the speed with the program to see the accuracy of the cutting speed account.
The image of my beautiful dog, Indiana Bonns is engraved. I import that image in the work area and use the 3mm pashed wood for materials. I can use standard engravings settings from each Indy engraving device on wood. My colleague CNET, Sile Holly, and I check the wooden laser pieces for the quality of the image. We are looking at the contrast, the level of details captured, and the extent of the surface inscription, as well as looking at our opinion in total quality.
Indiana is the ideal test of laser engraving.
I have created a precision test for laser cutters with cameras. I designed a file with 10 mm and 5 mm. The file is printed on standard paper and is imported in the laser breaker program. From there, we use a laser camera to align the physical marks with digital and set the laser to the pieces. Once the laser is finished, we measure the displacement using a micrometer to see the accuracy of the camera in the paper image. This is especially useful for laser with Fish lenses.
