Warner Bros. is suing Amazon for poaching employees

Warner Bros. has raised Discovery sued Amazon accusing it of doing so Illegally stealing employeesincluding Pia Barlow, former Senior Vice President of Authentic Products Marketing. In the complaint, Warner says that “Amazon chose to follow in the footsteps of other Hollywood mainstays” and that it engaged in a “lawless employee shopping spree.” Delivery time Reports indicate that Francesca Orci, head of drama series and movies at HBO, is believed to be one of Amazon’s other targets.

Barlow is set to start a new role as head of original series marketing at Amazon on August 3. According to Warner’s lawsuit, Barlow was under contract until October 31, 2027. It accuses Amazon of intentionally “inducing” Barlow to violate her agreement by offering her a higher pay package and legal support in the event Warner sought legal action for breach of contract. It also claims that these poaching efforts are continuing.
