“Avengers: Doomsday” is filled with Marvel heroes and a scared Thor

Marvel fans got a taste of Doctor Doom from the MCU when he appeared in a movie Mid-credits scene in The Fantastic Four: The First Stepswhich increases anticipation for Avengers: Doomsday. A trailer was released on Monday, with an ominous voiceover from Thor warning all heroes – and allies – of the upcoming threat level. The film will be released in theaters on December 18, with Robert Downey Jr. in the role of Victor von Doom.

On April 5 (Easter), Downey Jr. posted a cheeky GIF on Instagram of his character holding a basket of Easter eggs with various superhero logos. It didn’t take long for fans to try to decipher the post as an introduction to a trailer while simultaneously guessing who is guaranteed to appear in Doomsday. Two Spider-Man eggs were falling into the paint along with eggs of Black Panther, Loki, Fantastic Four, Doctor Strange, Thor, Captain America, Namor, Shang-Chi, Ant-Man, and a cracked shell for the New Avengers (aka the Thunderbolts).

All of these heroes and villains are set to appear in Avengers: Doomsday, alongside Doctor Strange and X-Men favorites like Gambit, Professor X, Magneto, and Mystique.
