The test shots I watched looked stunning in almost every clip, but the scene showing white mist over a white mountain had slight blurring compared to the LG Micro RGB Evo and Leica Cine Play 1. Likewise, the scene of a yellow flower and dark trees against a dark background didn’t look realistic. However, the green grass behind a fence that often looks brown on mid-range projectors, the colors of the sunset, the red cactus, and the steam emanating from a hot spring all look stunning.
One of the biggest difficulties the XR10 has is daytime viewing in a bright room. Although Hisense includes some statements about opening up the shadows on its website, the reality is that many movies looked a bit washed out with the brightness turned up. I’ve watched some episodes of Blue lights On the Britbox app it looked faded and gray at times. This is true of many other high-end projectors, including the Leica Cine Play 1.
I switched to video games, sports, and newscasts and kept seeing brilliant, vivid colors, since the XR10 does a great job of displaying colors on a large screen.
Playing on Xbox Series Senua Saga: Hellblade III noticed that the contrast was almost perfect, with the water appearing on the main characters’ arms and on the rocks in a realistic and convincing way. Nothing feels washed out or unreal in those scenes. in Forza Horizon 6on both Xbox and PC, some of the winter night races looked startlingly real, with snow falling on the road and water pooling in a realistic manner. The BMW M4 looked pure white and quite clear, but not overly bright, making it appear as if the car was directly in front of me.
