Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is All in AI as the new social mediaHe previously described a vision of how users can use AI to create interactive experiences and share them with people. The launch of Pocket appears to be one manifestation of this idea, and comes after Meta hired engineers from a company called Atma Sciences Inc. Meta has obtained a non-exclusive license to use the company’s technology, and based on screenshots of Pocket on Google PlayThe app appears to be very similar to Gizmo.

“Scroll your feed of tools from people around the world,” Meta says in Pocket’s Google Play description. “Widgets respond to your phone’s touch and tilt. They play sound effects and your favorite songs. They can use your camera or pull photos from your camera roll. Some can even think about the world around them.” On a Help Center pageMeta also describes the tool as an “AI-generated playable experience,” and when you publish one, Meta says you can choose to let other people remix it.

However, if you’re in the US, it doesn’t look like you can download Pocket yet. Two are US-based edge Employees saw a note in the Google Play listing stating that the app was “not available in your country.” I can’t find the app in the US Apple App Store.
