the He clicks on the communicator he phone I’m looking forward to more in 2026. It will be released before the end of the year, but the company just showed off a working version of the $500 smartphone with a physical keyboard for the first time.

Every aspect of the phone has been considered to prioritize the messaging and typing experience above all else. It brings back a number of older Android features with a 2026 notification light, a physical keyboard, and an interchangeable back panel (which happens to support Qi2 wireless charging and magnetic accessories).
This phone isn’t for everyone, but for those of us who are passionate about a well-made, thoughtfully designed phone that costs $500, the Communicator can’t go out of style fast enough — especially compared to another phone. A “new” $500 Android phone that only comes in gold.
At a time when a number of devices are being launched that mimic old BlackBerry phones, such as Unihertz Titan 2 Eliteor she Updated and upgraded BlackBerry ClassicsThe Clicks is a new phone, actually designed by a former Research in Motion designer who worked on BlackBerry phones. It brings the best of Blackberry and early smartphones, mixing it with contemporary features like Android 16 and wireless charging.
Fortunately, the new Clicks video posted (see above) shows a working pre-production prototype with an early version of the software, giving us a taste to satisfy our appetites. The video begins with a shot of the Clicks Communicator screen, and a close-up of a person using their thumb to type “hello world.” Typing with double thumbs on phone? What is the year? I’m ready for that. The video shows texting and messaging in WhatsApp, navigating between apps and opening Spotify.
In the roughly six-and-a-half-minute video, Clicks co-founder and chief marketing officer Jeff Gadway shows off the phone and home screen software and many of its features. The Niagara Launcher app bar looks amazing. Jadway even takes a call on speakerphone, showing off the speakers.
So far, we’ve looked at a non-working Communicator prototype and seen its software running on the cover screen of a Motorola Razr inside the Clicks Keyboard case.

Gadway promises more videos that delve into other features, such as the phone signal switch/prompt switch, “in the coming weeks.” You can Book Communicator on Clicks for $199. The phone is expected to ship in the fourth quarter of 2026.
