The T1 phone from Trump Mobile is now available for anyone to purchase directly. The phone was previously distributed to a small number of customers who pre-ordered – though Edge You’re still waiting to get your hands on both phones – but you can now claim your device without having to put down a $100 deposit.
Robot body Spotted the change to Trump Mobile websitewhich now lets you pay $499 for the phone outright, instead of paying $100 first. In true Trump Mobile style, they’ve only half-updated the website: One page on the site still says you can “Join the Waitlist” for the phone, while the homepage encourages you to “Get in Line Now,” and still mentions the now-discontinued $100 deposit.
It’s not clear how quickly you’ll actually get the phone. There’s limited evidence that Trump Mobile has shipped more than a few phones to customers so far, and it’s likely that anyone who orders today will still have to wait for the company to process existing orders first. Or not! This company is weird.
If for some reason you want to buy the T1 today, it will cost you $499 plus tax. Trump Mobile still describes this as “promotional pricing,” although there is no indication yet of a price increase Executives told me it was coming Back in February. We don’t know when the price of the T1 will change, or how much it will eventually cost, though I’m told it will be “under $1,000.”
For those following along at home, I’m happy to confirm that as of this week Edge I paid in full for both phones, though we’re still waiting for any confirmation that either will ship. Any bets on when they’ll actually appear?
