Apple and Audi graduates have created a luxury electric car based on the Moon Buggy

The company is calling the One a new category of lightweight electric vehicles for short-range commuting, and the specs show a degree of seriousness: a range of more than 60 miles, a top speed of 40 mph, a five-hour charge from any standard household socket, and a weight of less than 450 kilograms (992 pounds).

This last number matters more than it seems.
