Logitech has a very specific market for the MX Master 3S. This is a mouse intended for office and productivity work, where practical considerations are more important than 360-degree ranges. Used for this purpose, it runs quietly and feels great, thanks to the stunning scroll wheel, sculpted design, and ever-useful secondary scroll wheel. Just be prepared to pick up an inexpensive USB extender if you experience any latency issues. -John Porter, Senior Reviewer

Eero’s Pro 6E mesh router is the Amazon-owned company’s last-generation model. It supports the 6GHz Wi-Fi band with speeds up to 1.3Gbps and covers an area of up to 2,000 square feet with a single unit. Wired speeds can reach 2.5 Gbps. Read our review.
Trio band Eero Pro 6E ($299 to $699) It’s another leap forward in home Wi-Fi for the company that popularized mesh Wi-Fi systems. And the Pro 6E certainly delivers. I saw significantly faster speeds compared to the previous generation Aero Pro 6 In my tests. But I also saw some network outages, which Eero says is an issue with the Thread implementation — a key part of support for the future Standard smart home issue Which Aero has committed to. — Jennifer Pattison Toohey, senior reviewer
For the past few years, the Instant Pot has been a staple in my kitchen. From preparing rice to cooking slow stews to frying chicken, it can do just about anything. Best of all, the Instant Pot can cook most recipes in a fraction of the time it would take in the oven or on the stove. Rice, for example, takes just six minutes to cook (not counting the amount of time it takes to build pressure), and you don’t have to worry about covering the pot or adjusting the heat. Sometimes, it’s easier — and less stressful — to let the Instant Pot take over. —Emma Roth, news writer
I’ve used Scape at work and while gaming, and it’s among the best I’ve ever experienced in this price range. Fit and finish are impressive for a first-generation device from a company with no audio hardware pedigree. Its sleek design comes in gray or black, with minimal LEDs adding a subtle glow around the bottom edge of the ear cups (these are the first LEDs in a headphone that I didn’t want to turn off immediately). It has a larger version of Apple’s Digital Crown on the back of the left ear cup. The knob controls the volume and can be tapped to pause and resume content (double or triple tap to skip and reverse songs, respectively). —Cameron Faulkner, Trade Editor
My partner and I were returning from dinner with a friend that night, and as the bus pulled away, he suddenly realized that his wallet was no longer in his back pocket. We called the MTA the next day and were able to drive to the local bus station and pick it up – and the next day, I ordered Intact tiles For him. I’ve actually been using Tile trackers for my own keys and wallet for a few years now, and as nice as the people at the MTA have been, I’m hoping my partner’s new Tile Slim will ensure it’s our last visit there. — Barbara Krasnoff, former reviews editor
The gist of it is this: It’s a little battery pack that has jumper cables, which means you can use its power to start your car instead of having to connect a jumper cable from another car’s battery to your car, then start the other car, wait a few minutes, and hope your car starts… I’ve heard about gadgets like the Noco Boost GB40 for years, and I’ve seen my share of them in gift guides, but I’ve never bought one. It’s very easy to use, and thankfully, it comes with a partial charge… The device also has a flashlight, in case you need to hop in the car at night, and can charge your phone via USB-C. I haven’t tested that, so I’m not sure how quickly the phone charges – but it should work if you’re in a pinch. — Todd Haselton, deputy reviews and trade editor
I try to carry a Bluetooth speaker with me everywhere when the weather is good. A pool party, a day in the park, a golf outing, a backyard hangout – everything’s better with music! Obviously there are a lot of good speakers out there, but for me, the UE Wonderboom 4 is the best. At just $100, it’s small but loud enough to work almost anywhere, its battery lasts all day, it’s waterproof, and it floats. (By the way, all the colors look nice, but… get the blue.) There are much nicer speakers out there with more features, and a $200 price tag. Megaboom It sounds a lot better, but I keep the Wonderboom in the trunk of my car, and it’s made me the hero of the party more times than I can count. — David Pearce, editor-at-large
My primary filter is the LifeStraw cartridge because it has a built-in quick connect adapter that easily attaches to the Go pitcher’s CPC coupler. It features two stages of filtration. The hollow fiber filter removes disease-causing bacteria and protozoa, as well as dirt and microplastics, and has a lifespan of 4,000 liters (1,000 gallons). Meanwhile, the activated carbon filter removes things like strange tastes and odors. It has a lifespan of just 100 liters (25 gallons), and two-packs of replacements can be had for $13 each. —Thomas Riker, deputy editor
the Roborock Q10 S5 Plus It has many advanced features, including good obstacle detection and navigation, as well as automatic carpet detection. It also raises its mop pad by 8mm to get over carpets, none of the features you’ll find in other robots at this price. My main caveat with this robot is that it’s quite wide, so it’s not great for busier homes, but it will work well in open-plan spaces. — Jennifer Pattison Toohey, senior reviewer
For a fairly affordable Chromebook that’s still durable, stick with the tried-and-true Asus Chromebook Plus CX34 For about $400. It has an older 12th generation Intel processor, 8GB of RAM, and a basic 1080p display. But it’s one of the cheapest Chromebooks out there with a “Plus” rating, which means it’s one of the good ones. —Antonio J. Di Benedetto, References, Notebooks
When looking at Nothing’s Ear(a) headphones, it’s easy to focus all your attention on the eye-catching yellow color or the fun, ultra-compact carrying case. But at $99, the company’s earbuds offer a slew of features, including active noise cancellation, a low-latency mode for gaming, multipoint Bluetooth pairing, and a decent IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. -Chris Welch, former senior reviewer
Kodak’s Mini Shot 3 Retro hybrid is all about fun. The camera’s companion mobile app lets you apply frames, stickers, filters, and a wide range of customization options to photos, making it great for scrapbooking. There’s also a beauty feature in the app to hide blemishes, as well as a set of Snapchat-like filters you can use to add dog ears, for example, making it a fun instant camera to use as a little photo booth of sorts at parties. — Sheena Vasani, business writer
If you buy e-books mostly from Amazon, you’ll need a Kindle, and the 12th generation Kindle Paperwhite is the best option for most people. It’s $70 cheaper than the Kobo Libra Color — the best non-Amazon e-reader — but offers many of the same features, including a wide 7-inch, 300p display with rich contrast levels. Unlike Amazon’s entry-level Kindle, it also features IPX8 water resistance and an adjustable warm front lighting that reduces blue light, which can cut off melatonin production. $199.99 Paperwhite signature edition It also supports wireless charging, which is a rare feature in an e-reader. — Sheena Vasani, business writer
For most people, a gaming mouse just needs to be good at pointing and clicking at an enemy’s head. But for anyone who plays MMORPG games like… World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy XIVIf you can add a bunch of buttons to a mouse, those are free keybinds, baby. There are plenty of mice that have full keyboard thumb buttons – the Razer Naga pioneered this type. I’ve tried them all, and the Corsair Scimitar RGB Elite is the best. It feels the best in my hand — partly because you can adjust the position of the number pad, which is important during long raids and dungeons. — Jackie Thomas
The Sonos Five isn’t just the best-sounding Sonos speaker; It is at the top of the range compared to all competitors. From a sound quality perspective, it beats the HomePod, the latest Echo Studio, and other speakers on the market — both smart and non-smart. Can you find better bookshelf speakers? Sure, but these services aren’t natively tied to music services like Sonos devices. The Five is a huge unit and takes up a fair amount of desk space. But once you’re playing some music, the powerful stereo output is enough to handle any dinner party or weekend get-together. -Chris Welch, former senior reviewer
