Volvo ES90 will ship faster and drive further than other Volvo EVS

Volvo continues to drop hints about the upcoming high -tech electric sedan, ES90, before the official fees of EV next month. Today, the Swedish car manufacturer has provided new details about the ES90 group and battery efficiency, describing it, “A car that travels further and receives faster than any electric volvo before.”

This is mostly thanks to the new ES90 structure for Volvo 800-VolT, which puts it on an equal foot with other fast EVS such as Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6. The new architecture is an upgrade from the former Volvo EVS, such as the $ 80,000 SUV, which features 400 volts.

Volvo claims that ES90 will be able to add 300 km (186 miles) of the range in only 10 minutes when connected to a fast 350 kW shipping plant (depending on the external temperature). Moreover, a driving range of up to 700 km (435 miles) will provide the most generous WLTP test cycle.

Car industry companies are increasingly turning towards higher voltage systems in the hope of luring more customers who are stopped at slow charging speeds and the possibility of exposure at a public shipping station for 40 minutes or more. Stellantis, the parent company of Jeep and RAM, has announced a new flexible structure of 800 volts for the upcoming EVS.

Volvo said it needed to upgrade a number of its components in order to support the high voltage system, including battery cells, engines, spices and thermal parts. The new engines were lighter and more efficient, and the public system now creates less heat, which means that the battery can be charged at a faster rate without increasing the electric load.

VOLVO also plans to present a new batteries management program developed within the company for ES90, which is provided by Breathe Battery Technologies, which also received investments from ARM Corporate Corpital Corporate. The new program will reduce the amount of time it takes to impose fees from 10 to 80 percent by up to 30 percent, to 20 minutes.

ES90 will also contain a large number of recycled materials, including 29 percent of aluminum, 16 percent of polymers, and 18 percent of steel. Volvo says the wood panels inside ES90 are made of FSC approved wood. The automobile company also offers a new Blockchain battery “passport” to track raw materials such as lithium, cobalt, nickel and graphite used in the battery.
