At WWDC 2026 on MondayApple revealed The new AI-powered version of Siri – in what is being called the largest and most dramatic assistant transformation in the company’s history.

In addition Launch of the new Siri AI systemThe personal assistant now has its own standalone app. The app is designed to serve as a repository of the user’s previous archived conversations with the Assistant. Just like the functionality of chatbots like ChatGPT or Claude, users can scroll through all those past conversations and revisit the session.

When a user opens a previous conversation, the app provides an overview of what was said so users don’t have to read the entire text. The app is also where users can start a new conversation with the Assistant.

Siri now offers users a multi-functional interface that mirrors other AI chatbots, where users can enter text, upload documents and photos, and access voice mode, where you can talk to it directly.

The Siri app is designed to give users access to the assistant across Apple devices, including iOS, MacOS, and iPadOS. All of a user’s Siri conversations are privately synced to iCloud, in accordance with Apple’s typical privacy protection.
