On Monday, Google announced an update to its system LM notebook Search tool includes new features and switch to Gemini 3.5 as the default model. The company also adds AntigravitySupported programming skills to help users search and generate different types of outputs.

This is similar to Google adding bits of programming to its site Searching Products to make it more attractive for questions and answers.

Google said that with the latest update, you can start a conversation about a project using the application, and this will help you build the knowledge base by suggesting different sources using search skills and Google search. This feature can help users obtain primary sources in other languages or find new material from related authors.

Previously, NotebookLM required you to bring your own resources to start building a knowledge base in order to extract ideas.
