It was also redesigned this year Formula One Cars are speeding down the track in Monaco this weekend, and you can catch a glimpse of them in an unexpected place: Apple Maps.
During the F1 Monaco Grand Prix June 5-7, Apple has revitalized the detailed Monte Carlo City Experience, showing the race track, turn marks, grandstands, pit garages and finish line.
The company has built its outlook for the 2025 race, and has made some changes this year. The track itself – which runs directly through the streets and buildings of Monaco – now appears in dark gray instead of bright red, and the race cars appearing along the track match the colors of this year’s teams. (They’re just there for visual interest, unfortunately — their positions don’t reflect the actual race locations.)
This includes detailed 3D renderings of landmarks such as the Casino de Monte-Carlo and the Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo, with day and night illuminated versions.

The Monaco Circuit was Apple’s first F1 Maps overlay last year. Since then, it has also created detailed street racing versions of Grand Prix racing Vegasand Melbourne, Montreal and Miami which are activated on days when racing comes to town. Apple has invested heavily in Formula 1 now Apple TV It is the American broadcaster of the elite international auto racing series.
Following the model of other city experience upgrades, the Monaco map adds plenty of other details, from road markings to bike lanes. And if you’re attending the race in person on the Côte d’Azur, Apple Maps can be an invaluable tool for getting around, with real-time information like road closures, pedestrian bridges and bathroom locations.
