Amazon’s search bar will come up with AI-generated products that you can’t buy

Amazon’s updated search bar You will now be shown the images generated by artificial intelligence Products as described. Right now, the in-app feature only shows AI images of clothing and home goods, allowing you to tap the image that best matches what you’re looking for and search for items with a similar appearance.

In a blog post, Amazon positions the feature as a way to help you search for items if you can’t remember the name of a particular fabric or pattern, such as a description of “cowl neck shirt” if you can’t think of “hoodie.” This feature seems like it could be useful in these types of scenarios, but it doesn’t really add much if you’re just looking for something simple, like “blue shirt.”

However, Amazon does not use AI to create counterfeit products for its other “Shop by Style” feature. This feature will display AI-generated collages with the item of clothing you are looking for.

If you’re looking for denim shorts, for example, Amazon will offer a selection of suggested outfits with denim shorts. Although the clothes are AI-generated, the clothes in them are not, which means you can purchase the items in the image. These features are available in the Amazon app on Android and iOS.
