Meta breakup in slow motion with Many pieces of its virtual reality system Earlier this year we let a lot of people down, especially those of us who used the subscription fitness app Supernatural. Although the service is basically… I stopped making new content Earlier this year, he is now ready to make a comeback. It will not be owned by Meta.
According to a message sent to Supernatural fans on Tuesday, the new app will arrive in the fall from an independent company called Supernatural Health. the Questions and answers page for the new company He confirms that the super trainers, who were always the best part of the experience, are all back. However, the subscription cost rises to $180 per year or $20 per month compared to the $100 per year/$10 per month cost that was under Meta.
The current Supernatural app still exists today, although no new exercises and songs are added to it anymore. But existing subscriptions and this app will disappear on December 3, and anyone who uses Supernatural will have to transfer their subscription to the new app. But the timing of the launch of the new application is still unclear.
I feel comfortable, even though the cost of the service is higher. Supernatural was the app I spent the most time on Task 3. It motivated me and made me feel strong. When Meta decided to stop supporting the app earlier this year, it devastated me a little. Judging by the posts in Supernatural’s candid Facebook community, I wasn’t alone.
Will the next version of Supernatural feel the same and have the same coaches? It’s not clear yet.
However, I’m still cautious. Will the new app continue with the same rhythm of song and exercise releases? It’s unclear, but the Supernatural Health page promises new features will be coming based on community feedback as well as more of what was there before.
Also, if the app is Meta-independent, could it eventually come to other VR platforms? This is already the case for other excellent VR fitness apps, including FitXR and Les Mills BodyCombat.
In terms of Meta’s plans for VR, I view this as another step away from Meta’s attempt to own all the major applications for the Quest headset’s Horizon OS platform. That’s probably a good thing, because several of the big-name game studios acquired by Meta dissolved earlier this year.
Meta is said to be working on another Headset Questand perhaps in a smaller form, could arrive as soon as next year.
