Is Instagram down? What do you know?

Instagram users started the week with some glitches in their feeds. People began reporting issues with the Meta-owned social media app at the start of the workday on the East Coast.

Bug reports have started Shown on Downdetector About 9 a.m. ET on Monday. (Both Downdetector and CNET are owned by the same parent company, Ziff Davis.) The number of reports quickly rose to more than 1,000, compared to a baseline figure of about 10.

CNET has reached out to Meta for more information about the issues.

Some bugs seem to include the app freezing and the reels stopping on the first frame or not playing automatically.
