Acer is launching a portable Linux device for streaming your PC games

Acer Nitro Blaze Link It may work on Linux, but it’s not Steam Deck. Acer says it’s a “portable, streaming-first companion,” like a PlayStation Portal for your PC. Announced at Computex on Friday, it will launch in Q4 2026 with a 7-inch (1920 x 1200) display, Wi-Fi 6, just 1GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and 8GB of eMMC storage. This is technically not even enough RAM to run Stardew ValleyHowever, Blaze Link is not intended for playing games locally.

Logitech launched a similar laptop a few years ago. Logitech GCloudwhich costs $350, includes 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and runs Android. It was a tough sell at this price considering its performance was dependent on a good internet connection.

Acer has not yet announced the price of the Nitro Blaze Link. But its specifications indicate that its cost may be much lower than gaming laptops. Which prices have increased significantly – will likely offer an affordable and straightforward alternative first.
