New Disney Plus titles in June 2026: Here’s what I’m watching


We all know that Disney Plus It is the hub of Disney content, both new and old, alongside Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, and National Geographic. In addition to familiar classics, the platform adds a steady stream of new movies and shows every month, including original series and Disney Jr. titles. Nat Geo documentaries and old library additions like sitcoms, reality shows, and movies.

This month, there are a lot of movies coming to Disney Plus, including the premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash on June 24, the debut of a new documentary about Hamilton and the director’s cut of The X-Files: I Want To Believe. This month you can also listen to the full four-day live stream of the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival June 11-14 on Disney Plus as well.

The Closet Diaries: Phineas and Ferb: Shorts

Why watch: Because Phineas and Ferb has always been a great show for kids that parents can enjoy too.

Phineas and Ferb are back! The series is one of Disney Channel’s most beloved original shows, and after a successful reboot in 2025, we’re now getting a new batch of shorts in June. The Locker Diaries: Phineas and Ferb: The Shorts is a series of mini-episodes shot vertically as seen from a point of view inside the school locker. (You can also watch the Locker Diaries shorts for Zombies as well, and it’s also possible that this vertical franchise will expand to other series in the future.) The first two Phineas and Ferb shorts will be released on June 6.

Bonnaroo live streaming

Why watch: You can catch all the great music performances at Bonnaroo 2026 without the crowds or the heat.

Over the past few years, Hulu has given subscribers the opportunity to live stream music festivals, but 2026 marks the first year that Disney Plus is getting in on the action as well. This month, subscribers will have access to a four-day livestream of the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival outside of Manchester, Tennessee, which will include performances by The Strokes, Yungblud, Teddy Swims, Noah Kahan and dozens more. (You’ll also be able to watch the live stream of Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits Music Festival this year as well) The Bonnaroo live stream will be available on Disney Plus from June 11-14.

The X-Files: I Want to Believe, Director’s Cut (2008)

Why to watch: Mulder and Scully will always be the best TV duo.

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprized their roles as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully in 2008’s The X-Files: I Want To Believe, with the story beginning years after the two had left the FBI and were brought back to consult on the mysterious disappearance of several young women, one of whom was an FBI agent. The film was not a huge success, but in 2025, X-Files writer and creator Chris Carter stated that he planned to release a director’s cut due to the fact that the theatrical release cut out a lot of the supernatural elements that he wished to include. With this new version, it’s “the scary movie I always intended to make,” Carter explains. The remake of the film will premiere on Disney Plus on June 11.

Why watch: Because over 10 years later, you still find yourself singing “My Shot” in the shower.

A Spark Into a Flame: Hamilton & Hip Hop is a new documentary premiering on Disney Plus on June 16. The film explores the groundbreaking relationship between the hit Hamilton and its hip-hop roots, and features Hamilton writer, performer and creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and hip-hop legends including Busta Rhymes, Nas, Questlove, Black Thought, Common and more.

Avatar: Fire and Ashes

Why watch: This premiere marks the film’s arrival on streaming.

The Oscar-winning Avatar: Fire and Ash is the third film in the Avatar series, and it’s finally on its way to streaming when it hits Disney Plus on June 24. The film reunites former Avatar stars including Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang and Kate Winslet – and Oona Chaplin joins the cast as Varang, Sully’s newest adversary.

Adventure Time: Side Quests

Why watch: You miss seeing the adorable duo on TV.

Sing it with me, “Adventure Time, come on, grab your friends, we’re going to lands far, far away. Jake the dog and Finn the man…” The original series ended on Cartoon Network in 2018, but new spin-offs have been dropped since then, focusing on characters other than Finn and Jake. in Adventure Time: Side Queststhe legendary duo returns to take audiences on more hilarious journeys. PB, Ice King, and other favorites will also appear when the new series hits Disney Plus (and Hulu) on June 29.
